"The plaster rendition of Athene welcomed visitors to the east end of the Fine Arts building (the Parthenon). It stood twenty-five feet tall and was created by sculptor Enid Yandell (1870-1934), born in Louisville, Kentucky. At this time, it was the largest sculpture by a woman. Yandell sculpted the plaster work in Paris, France, where she had studied with Auguste Rodin and Frederick MacMonnies. At the conclusion of the Exposition in October 1897, there was some discussion about bringing the sculpture inside the Parthenon, but it had sustained too much weather damage." Dann gefällt ihr aber auch, daß in jedem Mac-Namen die in der EinSatzLeitung gepflegte Lieblingsschreibweise zusammengesetzter Wörter nachträglich so etwas wie ein Vorbild finden könnte.
